|Earl Avenue||Starting today through Friday, January 20th, Erwin Excavating will be restricting the eastern most north bound lane of Earl Avenue from Cason Street to Cincinnati Street for utility work. Watch for signage and barrels. Please slow down and use caution in the area.

|Columbia Street||Atlas Excavating will be closing the southern, west bound lane of Columbia Street on Tuesday, January 17th through Thursday, January 19th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. This closure is to repair the water main and will only be at the intersection of 2nd and Columbia streets. Traffic will be diverted around the construction to the northern, west bound lane on Columbia Street. Watch for signage and flagman, and use caution in the area.

|2nd Street||Beginning on December 13th, Edwards-Rigdon Construction will be closing the South bound lane of 2nd Street from Columbia Street to Main Street. This closure is for work on the 101 Main Street/Marq development project. 2nd Street will then be one way north bound through October 2017. For those traveling north on 2nd street from South to Main you will need to detour using South and 4th Street.

|Elmwood Ave||Elmwood Avenue in Lafayette is closed starting on or about Monday, October 3, 2016. The closure will be until February. This closure is part of a large city stormwater initiative, and will include installing a 60” sewer pipe under the intersection that will tie into an existing pipe located at 27th Street. Please use caution in this area and watch for signage. Plan your route and allow extra time for increased traffic. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve city-wide stormwater efficiency.

|October 3rd - February|
Work begins on the much-anticipated Old National Bank headquarters/MARQ development project. Edwards-Rigdon Construction Company will be closing the south bound lanes and west side sidewalk of 2nd Street from Main Street to Columbia Street beginning Wednesday January 27th, 2016. This is for the demolition of a building and the construction of a new building. Use caution and watch for the signs, barricades and fencing. Restrictions will remain through the duration of the construction period until project completion, which is expected in February 2018.
