Mission Statement
Lafayette Aquatics facilities support family oriented activities while maintaining a commitment to safety as our number one priority.

Capacities

  • Castaway Bay: 350 people
  • Tropicanoe Cove: 1200 people
  • Vinton Pool: 250 people

Guest Guidelines
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied with an adult
  • City Weapons Ordinance strictly enforced
  • Guests with special needs are welcome - our staff members are pleased to provide assistance
  • Headphones must be used with radios
  • Parks Department is not responsible for personal property
  • Parks Department reserves the right to take photographs or videos for future use
  • Pets are not permitted, working dogs are welcome
  • Reservations are encouraged for large groups
  • Swimming is prohibited during a storm
  • Tobacco, alcohol, and drugs are prohibited
  • United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved flotation devices only may be worn in the pool; these are provided by the Parks Department at no charge to guests
Denial of Service
We reserve the right to deny access or demand immediate exit from the parks under the following circumstances:
  • You are suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • You have excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts or bandages
  • Your behavior affects the safety and comfort of others
Health Department Requirements
Indiana Health Department requires the following at every public swimming pool:
  • Bathing suits are required in the water
  • Coolers are not allowed in swimming facilities and food may only be eaten in designated areas
  • Glass containers are not permitted
  • Rubber/plastic pants must be worn over all diapers
