On March 24, in an effort to help those sheltering-in-place or working remotely from home, the City of Lafayette suspended enforcement of the time restricted parking limits for on-street 2 and 3 hour parking zones.
Many essential businesses are still open, and commercial deliveries are being made daily throughout the downtown area. As the State slowly and carefully begins easing the Stay-at-Home order, Parking Operations will begin enforcement of the 2 and 3 hour parking zones beginning the morning of May 26, 2020. All other parking ordinances including, but not limited to, handicap zones, space markings, loading zones, and fire hydrant zones will be enforced as usual. We welcome you to patronize our businesses and restaurants downtown and remind you to use caution as restrictions are eased.
