[ARCHIVED] Lafayette Police Respond to Stabbing at 4th and Owen St.

The Lafayette Police Department responded to a stabbing at approximately 0038 hrs. The reported information was that a male had been stabbed and was near the intersection of 4th and Owen Street on the city’s south side. Offices responded to the call and located the victim and assisted with medical treatment. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is being treated.

Officers also identified witnesses and the male subject involved in the altercation. Information at this time is there was a disturbance between the victim and suspect which resulted in the victim being stabbed. After conducting the investigation, which included statements and a search warrant, Christopher Scott Fitzsimons 35 was arrested. Fitzsimons was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon. The investigation is still being conducted and information is being exchanged with the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office for a review of the case.
