[ARCHIVED] Elk Street Stabbing

On Thursday September 10, 2015 at approximately 0027 hours, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at a residence in the 2700-blk of Elk Street. It was reported that a male subject had been stabbed by another male subject who was known to him following an altercation. Officers located the victim of the stabbing at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and was subsequently transferred to an Indianapolis area hospital for additional care. Officers conducted interviews with all involved persons at the scene. No names are being released at this time. This incident does not appear to be a random act, as the involved parties were known to one another. The investigation is ongoing.
