On Saturday, September 26th, the Lafayette Police Department will partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in order to provide a safe location to dispose of any unwanted medications. The event will run from 10am to 2pm and will be held at the Lafayette Police Training Center, 1301 South St. People may bring any medication (pills, tablets, syrups, etc) and turn them over to the police for proper disposal. We ask that people not bring any sharps or syringes. The “National Drug Take-Back Program” has had success in the past by disposing of medications that could potentially be abused.
