On January 22, 2016 at approximately 11:41pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 200 block of Green Street in Lafayette for the report of a male who was shot. Arriving officers located a male in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The male was alone and stated that he had been approached and shot by three males who had fled the area on foot. Multiple responding officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
Medics made the scene and transported the male to a local hospital. The male victim is in serious condition at this time.
Officers temporarily blocked off the general area. Crime Scene Investigators processed evidence on scene.
