[ARCHIVED] Marijuana Grow Operation Arrest

On March 16th, at approximately 3:30pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a residence in the 1400-block of Johnson St in reference to a possible drug law violation. This incident was initiated by a citizen’s tip regarding the possible drug activity.

After initial investigation, and with the assistance of the Purdue University Police Department and their K9, Paco, a search warrant was secured for the residence. The premises were searched and a marijuana grow operation was discovered. Forty-nine (49) marijuana plants were seized and removed from the residence with the assistance of the Indiana State Police. Also located in the house were Xanax, a controlled substance, and steroids.

Arrested:

Danielle Marie Richardson (37 years old and of Lafayette)
- Two counts of Possession of Marijuana
- Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Dealing Marijuana
- Unlawful Possession of a Syringe
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance
