[ARCHIVED] Update on child found in bathtub

On May 3rd, around 11:15 am, Lafayette police and emergency personnel responded to Chaffee Court for a report of a 10-month-old child found unconscious, submerged in a bathtub. The child was transported to a local hospital by medics, before being flown to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
UPDATE: Police continue to follow up on this investigation. At this time the child is off the ventilator and eating on her own. Hospital staff reported there were no medical problems discovered during preliminary tests and indicated the child will be released soon.
Investigators continue to look into the case.
