Columbian Park Zoo is celebrating ocean conservation in conjunction with World Ocean’s Day.
On Sunday, June 5, 2016, the Zoo will offer a series of family-friendly activities related to ocean conservation. These will include hands-on learning activities, games and crafts.
World Ocean’s Day was created in 2003 to promote the protection of the world’s oceans, and the prevention of ocean pollution. The national initiative is now sanctioned by the United Nations, and reaches millions of people every year.
This free event will take place from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the DeFouw Education Center at Columbian Park Zoo.
