[ARCHIVED] National Night Out

The Lafayette Police Department will be holding its National Night Out festivities tomorrow, August 2nd. Representatives from the department will be at Columbian Park, near the entrance to Loeb Stadium from 5pm to 8pm. We will have officers there to meet with the public, sign people up for Nextdoor (the free, neighborhood-based social network), give out prizes, teach kids about 911 using our 911-simulator, and promote police-community relationships. We will also have information and literature on a wide-variety of crime and safety topics. We would like to invite the community to stop by and spend some time with officers at this event.

About National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Any questions should be directed to the undersigned.
