[ARCHIVED] September Outreach Project

Lafayette Police Outreach to Assist Men Recovering from Addiction

The Trinity Mission of Lafayette has a men’s addiction recovery program and they are currently assisting a record number in their effort to help men recover and “get clean” from drug addiction. In support of that effort, the Lafayette Police Department is conducting a drive for personal hygiene products to donate to the Trinity Mission. Drug addiction takes a toll on many aspects of a person’s life. The mental, physical and financial burden of addiction results in many of these men not being able to successfully support or properly take care of themselves.

The Lafayette Police, starting September 1st, will set up a donation receptacle in the police department lobby. Anyone who wishes to donate unused items such as, soap, shampoo, tooth brushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, razors, or any other unopened hygiene items is asked to drop them by the police department.
