Home Invasion Robbery on Kensington Drive

The Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of a home invasion in the 1000 block of Kensington Drive. The victim reported two unknown males entered the residence, unannounced and unwelcomed. One male displayed a handgun. The suspects took property from the victim’s residence and fled the scene. The victim, who is a disabled veteran, was injured by one of the male intruders when he was knocked to the ground. The victim refused medical attention.
The first suspect was described as a black male, heavy set, dark pants, plaid shirt and clean shaven. The second suspect was described as a black male in a plaid shirt, and skinny.
Responding officers established a perimeter. No persons of interest have been located at this time. This case is still under investigation.
