South 4th Street Village Pantry Robbery Arrest


Early Wednesday morning, around 12:15 am, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Village Pantry at 1008 South 8th Street. Officers arrived and met with the reported victim, who was the clerk on duty. The clerk advised two suspect, a white male and a white female, entered the store, demanded money at gunpoint, and then fled the store on foot. Both suspects were partially disguised with face masks. There were no injuries reported.

Responding offices set up a perimeter and eventually located two people fitting the description of the armed robbery suspects, Bradley Harris [22] and Elizabeth Battle [25]. Both Harris and Battle were detained by police and arrested for armed robbery. Police also recovered a handgun.

The case was forwarded to the LPD detective division and the Tippecanoe County Prosecutors office for review. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department at (765) 807-1200 or the anonymous We-Tip Hotline at (800) 78-CRIME.
