[ARCHIVED] Bank Robbery - 2/6

On February 6th, at approximately 12:45pm, the Lafayette Police Department received a report of a robbery at the Fountain Trust Company in the 300-block of Ferry St. Employees stated the suspect entered the bank and demanded money. After obtaining the cash, the suspect fled the bank through the north doors. There were no weapons displayed and no injuries reported during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, late 30’s to early 40’s, medium build, approximately 5’8” to 5’10”, with short, dark hair. He was wearing a brown, zip-up jacket.

The incident is still under investigation and has been turned over to detectives. At this time, the suspect is not in custody. Anybody with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Lafayette Police Department (807-1200) or the We-Tip Hotline (800-78-CRIME).
