On Saturday, May 13th, at approximately 11:00 pm, the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 1000 block of Julia Ct. Police arrived and located a male subject who had suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The wound was not life threatening.
Police conducted an investigation and collected case facts and evidence. Police interviewed several witnesses. Police do not believe this incident was random and have information there was an altercation between two people before the shooting, one of which was the reported shooting victim.
