Applications for the Mayor's Youth Council are now being accepted. High school students who are appointed by the Mayor and City Clerk will have the opportunity to impact the local community through special projects and initiatives; past projects include designing the official flag for the City of Lafayette, public art displays and installments, designing wraps for City vehicles, and designing banners for light poles on Veterans Memorial Parkway. Future projects will be determined through discussions of issues facing youth and the City. If you are a high school student who would like to have a voice in the community and interact with other civic-minded youth, please consider applying!
