Search Warrant Results in 6 Arrests for Drug and Weapons Offenses

On January 15th, 2018 officers with the Lafayette Street Crimes Unit were investigating a complaint of drug activity in the 700 block of Park Ave.  When officers made contact at the residence they spoke with Katelynn Ravenscraft (20).  After speaking with Ravenscraft a search warrant was obtained for the residence.

Inside the home officers located and seized 1.5 pounds of marijuana, controlled substances including LSD, and a handgun with an obliterated serial number.  Ravenscraft was arrested for possession of marijuana, dealing marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a handgun with an obliterated serial number, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.

Officers also arrested Jerald Leuck (20) for possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.  Paige Preston (19), Nathan Goad (23), Conner Ryan (22), and Michael Schmid (18) were all issued a summons for visiting a common nuisance.  Both Ravenscraft and Leuck were transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.

The Lafayette Police Department would like to remind people to continue to report suspicious and illegal activity by calling 765-807-1200, or through the anonymous WeTip hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
