Lafayette Police Investigating Overnight Murder, Looking For a Person of Interest
On January 27th, 2018 at 11:50 pm the Lafayette Police Department responded to 1619 Alabama St for a report of a shooting. When police arrived they located Kenneth Williams (34) who had been shot. Kenneth was transported to IU Health Arnett where he was pronounced deceased on arrival. There were multiple adults and children inside the residence at the time of the shooting.
Detectives and crime scene investigators interviewed witnesses and examined the scene. William Sutherland (32) was identified as a person of interest and are asking the public’s help with locating him. William is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached if spotted.
