Suspect from March 23rd Robbery Arrested

On March 23rd, 2018 the Lafayette Police Department received a report of an armed robbery that took place in the Family Express parking lot at 3898 State Rd 38 E.  Officers learned that the suspect entered the victim’s car and held her at gunpoint while demanding her cell phone.  Afterwards the suspect fled on foot from the victim’s vehicle.  

After conducting interviews and reviewing surveillance footage, detectives were able to identify the suspect in this case as Timothy F Jackson.  On April 2nd, 2018 at approximately 3:53 pm, the Lafayette Street Crimes Unit located Jackson in the parking lot of the Family Express and arrested him on an outstanding Lake County, Indiana warrant for robbery.

In addition to the warrant through Lake County, Jackson was arrested for kidnapping, robbery with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon, possession of a handgun without a license, and confinement.  Jackson was transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.
