[ARCHIVED] Shooting incident on Broadway Street

The Lafayette Police Department, at about 6:45 am on Saturday, April 7, responded to a report of a shooting incident in the 1400 block of Broadway Street.  Police arrived and located one male victim, inside the residence, with a single gunshot wound to the leg.  The man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. 

Police secured the scene and conducted an investigation. Officers interviewed witnesses and collected evidence.  Reportedly, the shooting incident stemmed from an argument between two men.  The shooting was not a random act and the case is being investigated by detectives.
