Lafayette Police Investigating Dead Body Found on Amelia Ave


On Tuesday August 21st, at about 7 am, the Lafayette Police Department received a report of a dead body found outside in the 3900 block of Amelia Ave.  Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department along with the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s office, are investigating to determine the cause and manner of the death.  At this time the death is being investigated as a homicide, as is standard with all deaths until the cause is known.  The victim is a black male, the identification is pending by the coroners office.


No other information is available at this time.  We will update the media as more information is made available.
