Serious Injury Crash
On Wednesday, April 24th, 2019, at 7:57pm, Lafayette Police officers responded to a serious injury crash at the intersection of N Creasy Ln and Rome Dr. A pedestrian, 17 year old Taylor Treece of Lafayette, was struck while crossing Creasy Ln. The driver of the vehicle that struck her has been identified as 18 year old, Brian Cruz, also of Lafayette.
Treece was transported via air ambulance to a trauma center in Indianapolis.
Investigation is still on-going, but drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
