Lafayette Police investigated a child abuse complaint originating at 2521 Brice St. It was discovered that a 5-year-old female victim had suffered significant bruising to her torso and internal injuries. The victim was transported to Riley Hospital for treatment. Detectives became involved in the investigation.
The boyfriend of the victim’s mother, Dantrell Pettigrew, age 25, was arrested for Level 6 Felony Domestic Battery. This investigation is on-going.
