Bowen Engineering will be closing the section of 10th St. & Valley St. spanning from South St. to Kossuth St. for the installation of a water main and storm water work. Road Closure will be from 4/30/18 to 11/30/18, approximately 6 months.Through traffic will not be permitted during this time. If you are traveling through this area, please follow the alternate route, which will be displayed by detour markers. Please be attentive as construction traffic and workers will be in and around the work zone. Rieth-Riley will be changing the traffic pattern on US 52 from 8/31/18 to 10/31/18. Moving Eastbound lane into the original drive lane. Westbound driving lane will be moving through the crossovers into the Eastbound passing lane while maintaining two-way traffic. This change will take place between CR 400 S. and CR 800 S. Contact: J. Beginning monday September 17th the City will be closing Main Street to through traffic in between Kossuth Street and Perdue Street. construction work will be taking place at the intersection of 21st Street and Main Street and where Wallace Street and Congress Street intersect Main Street. There will be hard barricades at the following intersections, Perdue and Main, Wallace and Main, and 21st and Main, no traffic will be allowed past those points. This closure will be until approximately October 26th, 2018. The detour will be Kossuth Street, South 18th Street and Perdue Street.

Star City Crossing will have the sidewalk closed on the East side of 5th Street between South Street and Columbia Street, sidewalk will also be closed on the North side of South Street between 5th Street and the Alley just West of City Hall for the construction of a new building. Dixon Construction will have lane restrictions on Hart St. between
N. 16th St. and N. 17th St. as well as Perrine St. between N. 17th St. and N. 18th St. 10/15/18 to 11/21/18 for the replacement of concrete sidewalk, ADA ramps, driveway approaches and curb and gutter. Prior to construction there will be tree removal that may constitute entire road closures for a brief time. There will be barrels with 'No Parking' signs along edge of roadway. All sidewalks along these roadways will be closed with signs indicating so. Closure will be from 10/16/18 to 10/30/18. Barricades will be set up at each intersection showing the road to be closed. Developed specifically with early childhood learning foundations in mind, this hour long class gives little learners a chance to explore nature and animals in a safe, nurturing environment. Get to know nature through play experiences, art, songs and stories, early science explorations, and of course - special animal friends! Supervised outings to zoo exhibits that complement the lesson may also be included, weather permitting. Each month holds a new lesson - attend one or enjoy them all!
Zoo Sprouts is designed to accommodate emerging independence - caregivers may participate with their child, or observe from the adult seating area. Caregivers and children comfortable with drop-off are permitted to do so, provided the child is fully potty-trained. This program is for children 3 and 4 years old with adult caregiver participation optional.
The second season will be "Animal Opposites." Animals are a great way to introduce the early childhood learning concept of opposites!
