The goals of the academy are to enhance responsible citizenship, create positive interaction with police officers, and to educate young people about the challenges and responsibilities of police work. The academy attendees will be exposed to various aspects of law enforcement including, but not limited to: Crime Scene Investigation, K9 Unit, Bike Unit, SWAT, and gang awareness
The three day academy hours are from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Cost of the Junior Police Academy is $25.00 per student.
