[ARCHIVED] One arrested after shooting

On January 13th, at approximately 8:43pm, the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 1000-block of Archway Dr in reference to a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers located a male with a gunshot wound to the leg.  The male supplied a description and approximate location for the suspect.  Officers quickly located the suspect, identified as April Lynn Foster (38 years old and of Lafayette), near the location of the incident.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated. 


Officers interviewed witnesses, collected evidence, and processed the crime scene.  During the investigation, April was arrested and transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail for the following:

Attempted Voluntary Manslaughter

Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon

Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon

Domestic Battery with a Deadly Weapon

Pointing a Firearm

Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon
