[ARCHIVED] Boo at the Zoo Tickets Now Available

This not-so-spooky event is geared towards pre-school and elementary-aged children and features fun games, a nightly kids’ costume contest, face painting, pumpkin patch, entertainment, the Enchanted Train Ride, and some special guests. The Wild Tykes Play Zone Rides will also be included for kids under 42” tall. Concessions will be available for purchase from several local food truck vendors. New this year are themed nights, with a nightly drawing for those who come dressed in a costume that matches the night’s theme: Superheroes (Wednesday), Purdue & Sports (Thursday) and Galactic Heroes & Villains (Friday).

According to Zoo Director Neil Dale, “Boo at the Zoo has been a local favorite for two decades. The community will notice some changes this year as we lay the groundwork for exciting new Zoo developments, including our much-anticipated penguin exhibit. We hope that families will recognize some familiar activities and enjoy the new elements, as well. As always, proceeds from this event go towards keeping our Zoo vibrant and sustainable.”

Discounted advance tickets can be purchased online at www.columbianparkzoo.org. Advance tickets are also available at the Zoo Gift Shop during regular business hours through October 12 when the Zoo closes for the season. Online ticket sales continue through October 22.

Advance tickets are $6 each, children ages two years old and under are free. Advance tickets are non-refundable, and can be redeemed for one night of your choice at the event.

On event nights, tickets will be sold at the Zoo front gate for $8 each event night. Children ages two years old and under are free.
