Construction of the Ellsworth Project, closures for construction, deliveries, hoisting and trash removal from 12/28/20 to 7/29/22. Closure locations: South Street sidewalk and parking from 4th Street to 5th Street; 5th Street Southbound lane and sidewalk; Alabama Street Westbound lane and sidewalk. Detail summary of closures: Installing jersey barriers with chain link fence on top of barriers, closing off parking and sidewalk on the South side of South Street from the entry into Regions Bank parking lot, East to 5th Street; then the Southbound lane and sidewalk on 5th Street from South Street to Alabama Street; then the Westbound lane and sidewalk on Alabama Street from 5th Street to 4th Street. Fresh Air Eats, Road Closure on Main Street in the following areas starting Friday at 4:00 pm through Sunday ending at 9:00 pm generally the third weekend of the month (with certain exceptions and special edition weekends) starting May 14th to October10th. Specific weekend dates are: May 14-16 (graduation weekend) May 20-23 adding Thursday May 20 to accommodate statewide convention. June 18-20, July 16-18, August 13-15, September 24-26 and October 8-10. Closure - Intersection of 9th and Kossuth

From September 27 to October 26, the intersection of 9th St and Kossuth will be completely closed for reconstruction. Reconstruction will include the installation of new storm inlets and drains, new stone, new pavement, new handicap ramps, and a new drive approach on the Southeast side of 9th to the convenience store. Closure - Roundabout Installation at 10th and Brown

On October 4, a roundabout will be installed at the intersection of North 10th St and Brown St. The intersection will be closed to thru traffic. There will be signs and barrels blocking the intersection. Work is expected to take about a week.
