Construction of the Ellsworth Project, closures for construction, deliveries, hoisting and trash removal from 12/28/20 to 7/29/22.
Closure locations: South Street sidewalk and parking from 4th Street to 5th Street; 5th Street Southbound lane and sidewalk; Alabama Street Westbound lane and sidewalk.
Detail summary of closures: Installing jersey barriers with chain link fence on top of barriers, closing off parking and sidewalk on the South side of South Street from the entry into Regions Bank parking lot, East to 5th Street; then the Southbound lane and sidewalk on 5th Street from South Street to Alabama Street; then the Westbound lane and sidewalk on Alabama Street from 5th Street to 4th Street.
Watch for Construction/Closure/Detour signage and traffic control devices throughout the construction of the project.

Sidewalk closure at 631 Main Street from 1/26/21 to 5/30/22 for new building construction. There is a fence that serves as a safety barrier and sidewalk closed signs in place.

J. R. Kelly will be closing the sidewalk on the West side of Main Street from Kossuth Street to the intersection at Congress Street. Also, closing the sidewalk on the South side of Kossuth Street between Main Street and 20' West of 23rd Street.
J. R. Kelly will completely close the intersection of 23rd Street and Wallace Street just North of the old Osco parking lot (New Loeb parking lot).
Traffic control barrels will be installed on the South side of Kossuth Street starting just West of 23rd Street and extending to Main Street to allow replacement of curbs and walks as needed on the South side of Kossuth Street. They will install barrels along the West side of Main Street from Kossuth Street to Wallace Street. This does not close a lane but will channel traffic away from the edge of the sidewalk to protect workers. Temporary short term lane shifts will vbe needed during portions of this project.

Downtown Lafayette Farmer's Market on 5th Street between Main Street and Columbia Street, and Main Street to Ferry Street on Saturdays from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. This will be 5/1/21 to 10/30/21.

Sidewalk and Southbound parking lane at 200 S. 4th Street ( NOVA tower project) will be closed 5/5/21 to 7/2/21 for the new construction of sidewalk, curb and gutter and drive entrances. This area will be fenced off and sidewalk closed signs will be placed at each end.

Public Safety Building and Garage Project traffic control, 601 Columbia Street between 6th Street and 7th Street. 6th Street between Columbia Street and South Street will be closed to all traffic except police. 7th Street between Columbia Street and South Street, one-way Northbound. Columbia Street between 6th Street and 7th Street, no short-term parking either side of road.

Fresh Air Eats, Road Closure on Main Street in the following areas starting Friday at 4:00 pm through Sunday ending at 9:00 pm generally the third weekend of the month (with certain exceptions and special edition weekends) starting May 14th to October10th. Specific weekend dates are:

May 20-23 adding Thursday May 20 to accommodate statewide convention.
June 18-20, July 16-18, August 13-15, September 24-26 and October 8-10.

East Coast Migrant Head Start Project will have a daily road closures on Elizabeth Street between 10th and 9th Street for children's bus drop off 6/7/21 to 10/29/21 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
