Trails


Lafayette Parks and Recreation maintains over 6 miles of paved (and many more unpaved) trails within the city. Our trails are open to everyone and can be used for many activities including walking, running, biking, rollerblading and cross-country skiing. Horseback riding and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the trails. Please keep all pets leashed.

Wabash Heritage Trail 2.3 miles - from Sagamore Parkway to the John T. Meyers Pedestrian Bridge Mostly asphalt, some dirt sections
*There are also unmarked trails mowed into the prairie grass at McAllister Park. The distance of these trails is unknown and the surface is grass.
