Volunteer Program Overview
- Zoo Adult Volunteer Application @(Model.BulletStyle == CivicPlus.Entities.Modules.Layout.Enums.BulletStyle.Decimal ? "ol" : "ul")>
Are you an energetic and committed individual who is looking to share your interest in animals with others? Volunteer Educators assist the Education Department by assisting with various learning experiences including animal encounters, group presentations and patron interactions throughout the zoo. We are looking for individuals who can make at least a year-long commitment.
Are you a social butterfly looking for an opportunity to work in a beautiful garden setting? Volunteers help in late May through early September. All Butterfly Exhibit volunteers play a vital role in monitoring the various species and habitats housed within Columbian Park Zoo’s interactive exhibit, “Butterfly Garden Party”. Volunteers help the zoo fulfill our mission to the community by inspiring educational discovery and exploration in a family-oriented environment. This volunteer opportunity will definitely help the zoo ‘soar’!
Would your company or organization like to spend a few hours helping the zoo? Select weekend dates are available in the spring and fall for groups of 15 individuals or fewer.
Call the Volunteer Coordinator at 765-807-1558 to discuss application requirements and to review available dates.
