Tree of Life Memorial Program

Lafayette Parks and Recreation is pleased to introduce the Tree of Life Memorial Program. With the Tree of Life Memorial Program, a donation, dedicated to a loved one, pays for the planting of a tree in Lafayette's Parks and places an engraved leaf, branch, or acorn on the Tree of Life sculpture located in the Columbian Park Administrative Office. The live tree will be planted and maintained by Park Staff according to the needs of the Urban Forest and appropriate planting season.
T
his program provides a unique opportunity for citizens to take part in beautification, conservation, urban forestry, and the commemoration of a loved one. Please call (765) 807-1500 for more information.

This is an excellent way to recognize and memorialize donations from the public.  With the engraved piece, your memorial will be publicly displayed and the tax-deductible donation will be in Park records.
